  • Program: Literacy CHAoS (8-week program)
  • Dates: October 4 – November 29, 2025
  • No Session: October 11, 2025
  • Times:
    • Morning Group: 9:00 am – 10:30 am
    • Midday Group: 11:30 am – 1:00 pm
  • Session Length: 1.5 hours each
  • Location: Kings Kids Preschool

Mandatory Screening Day: September 27, 2025

Format: Each child signs up for a 1-hour slot (between 9:00 am – 5:00 pm)

Screening Includes:

  • Literacy skills assessment (literacy tutor)
  • Visual skills assessment (occupational therapist).

Session Structure

Part One: Lively Letter sounds, one-syllable words, vowel diphthongs, vowel path, beginning manipulation/blending

Timeline:

  • 45 minutes structured group time (includes gross motor activity)
  • 30 minutes open-ended sensory theme (comprehension, vocabulary, 1:1 activity — 10 minutes per child)
  • 10 minutes transition/get ready for home (graphic organizer for retelling: focus on 1 person, 1 activity)
